Kuta or Legian???

I would like to know which end of town people prefer and why??? Ive stayed all over last time in Legian and loved it but prior to that Kuta nad said I would never go anywhere else. This time Im back to Kuta but thinking of splitting my time between areas. You cant help but get used to certain restaurants and bars.....
