Hi, I found just the opposite.
Did'nt feel security had increased since I had been to Bali in September. There has always been security checks at Centro. You can still walk in one door at the front without any checks at all, yet go further down and enter from the other door and be checked.
No pat down searches for us on leaving Bali either, just the same as last year, and the year before that. Did get checked by a metal detector but that was only because I beeped walking through the security check (it was my earrings!)
I agree with you regarding Bali being the same as ever, did'nt notice any "feel on the streets"??? good as ever!
Just my opinion, everyone is entitled to their own, would be a pretty boring life on the forum if we all agreed with each other!
Also agree about the "jam jars"!
