We dicided to go down to centro today and get j new pair of progressive sunglasses.Optik Melawi was the place we went to and j got a trendy pair for around $190.00 that would have cost around $600.00 in Aussie.Had her eyes tested and the prescription was the same as she brought with her from Aussie.Did a bit of shopping around and had lunch at Black Canyon.I finally talked j into an indo meal and she had chicken satay and i had mie goering.both were ok,i had a bintang which was the hottest i have ever had in bali and j had a special coffee which she said was the best coffee she ever had.Continued shopping around and around 1/2 hour later we both had the trots, but the toilets we fine and that was the end of it.Needless to say j never had another indo meal in bali.CROC REPORT,checked out the crocs at centro and they were $45.00 just like at home, checked out fake crocs and i could not tell the differance, same feel, same look so being the tight wad iam i went for the fakes @$4.50 and they were fine for trip from hotel room to pool and back and then one morning i deciced to walk down to the morning markets at melasti and jl Legian, half way there i developed a sore spot(yea i know you told me so)on my left foot just above the bone that sticks out just above instep.Everybody at pool had fake crocs so i asked if any had the same problem and the answers were no,except for Carol who said yea i got one to,I asked what to do and she said dont wear for a few days and you should be ok.And guess what they are now fine and sore spot has gone.We had dinner that night at Wali Warung which was suggested to us by balilyn and her hubby mark who are both from the sunshinecoast.Meal was excellant and j had chicken mushroom and i had cap chay. Both were excellent and no trots.bintangs were only 10,000rp and the mains were around 35,000 and 25,000 each.banana fruit juice was ok,but not the best.We went to katumbar the next night and split a pizza and it was one of the best pizzas we have ever had.Wood fired oven, crust was just perfect,it was a thin crust but not at all like a cardboard crust dominos pizza.and j said banana fruit drink was the best she had in our 3 weeks in bali,we walked back to hotel via Legian Snacks and j had a banana pancake with ice cream and again the best in bali at 18,000rp with icecream. If you have one you have got to have icecream with it.Just thinking where else we ate.Indo national the following night J had openfaced toasted ham, cheese and pinapple samwich and i had the cap chay.J said sammy fine cap chay was pretty ordinary, place was packed. We ate a few more times at Wali Warung and the meals were all excellent and again no trots. One of the best meals we had was at Queen Tandoor.Best indian meal I have ever had,J had a chicken somethingMild) and i had the rogan gosh(medium),basmati rice, nanbread a few bingtangs and banana milk shake. It was around 180,000 for the lot.We went back again with another couple a few days later and had another couple and again another excellent indian meal.If you like indian food i would highly suggest you go there and the good part is you can order anything you like either mild, medium or hot.We ate in a few nights at MBR and in all honesty its pretty hard to screw up a pizza or club sammy. But we mainly stuck with our favorites for dinner, being Wali warung,Yutz's.SPAS J had a message almost everyday and MBR was her favourite at 118,000 including 20%surcharge and tax.We also used purti bali and at 60,000 it was a bargain but not quite as lush as MBR spa.Its just down the gang inbetween Bamboo Corner Restaurant and Four Seasons Hotel Off jl Padma Utara(which is only just around the corner of MBR)Cheers till tomorrow Julie and Norm
