of info on this forum but have 1 more question:
I will need to check if my current phone Next G is "locked". But I do have an old phone (which is a CDMA which had to be changed to NextG a few mths back). This old phone still works (can charge and my daughter play with it etc). Question: If I take this one with me, will it work over there, ie: do old CDMA mobiles work in Bali, and if so, I could buy a Bali Sim card and use this mobile over there, with a new number issued over there. ALSO, I thought that this would "free up" my current mobile (ie: Keep my mobile number current, if for example my family needs to contact me) BUT, I would just keep it in the room safe, and look at it a couple of times a day. But not actually use it for calls to home etc. I would then use the old one with the Bali sim card in place, to make all my calls while over there? Does this sound like a good idea??? I spoke to someone today who goes there lots of times, and she said as soon as she arrives her mobile begins ringing, with Bali companies trying to get her to use there service etc. Any thoughts??? Am I on the "right track"??(This forum is great to find out all sorts of info!!)
