I have used the E Passport queue on my last few trips to Bali. Hardly any time to wait.
Just stand in front of the image recorder/recognition equipment, it compares it to your scanned passport image, on match you head out.
In time it will be fully automatic and no need for immigration official. I had the bags collected and off the carousel before my friend had moved thru the long lines at immigration in Melbourne.
You will know if you have an E Passport by the thick 'chip' inside the centre pages of your passport. This chip holds all of your important passport information.
