.. that the reports you are hearing are due to people buying duty free at the airport & trying to take it in their hand luggage - in which cause its highly likely to be confiscated by NZ (or Australian) customs long before you get to Bali! However if you purchase it prior to your trip & put it in your checked-in luggage you should be fine :-) (Just make sure its well wrapped!)
