we did, left aug 4th and bought in syd while in transit there, was no worries cept for the 1 litre allowance boo hoo. Ordered and paid for our alcohol in auck for our return so just had to pick up with voucher. p.s allowance on return was 3litres but we got 4litres as 2litres of baileys is allowed as 1spirit yeehaa.
