After about 18 years living & working non-stop here and elsewhere in Indonesia, I think I've tried most things from just about every possible outlet, market (pasar) or otherwise.
And you reckon market chooks are organic? Even the ayam kampung can no longer be considered organic. Take a good look at what they eat, paint flakes, dropped fertiliser, virtually anything small enough thats lying around.
But then I suspect you'd probably know more about "Ayam Kampung" than I would.
Try plugging your fridge in sometime, or try a marinade. That way you'll find the chicken will last more than "same day".
Me...I'll continue to purchase chicken direct from the western owned, hygienic, refrigerated, chicken plucker in Canggu, (cheap and not so nasty), and red meats from other reputable suppliers. Why? Because common sense tells me to!
