You mare continually rubbishing this company and people may base their purchase of Travel Insurance on your postings so I feel you should tell the whole truth.
i.e that originally you stated to the hospital that your hubby had 7 beers. That is what the claim was rejected on. It was only later that the number was changed and it was made clkear to he insurer that it was so long after the consumpion of the alcohol.
I don't mean to make trouble but I think it's fair for people to make up their mind on the facts. It's not just that they refused a straight forward claim. I think any inmsurer would have refused in the first instance under those circumstances.
I'm glad you are happy with your present injsurer. For every case that people complain about a company there are bound to be more happy costermers. There is no company that has 100% happy customers.
