Costed jetstar airfares on their own with accommodation to be booked with agent and yes they were a very experienced and notable agent who has never let myself and a lot of others down with bad advice. Discussed Jetstar airfare with agent compared to Garuda airfare with a package. Agent quite clearly stated if I want to travel on definite dates to book Jetstar airfare as it was unlikely Garuda could match even with a package. If I could travel at any time Garuda could release some special low fare packages but these are generally for low season dates. Some of us do not have the luxury of travelling at short notice. To me a saving of $200 each for a family of five with Jetstar is a real bonus. I will happily pay for food or drinks if I want them. It is only a 6 hour flight after all, how much food and drink do some people want to stuff into their guts. All this whinging about Jetstar being so bad. What crap. I have had appalling flights to bali on Garuda and Australian Airlines.I have also had good and bad Jetstar flights. It comes with the territory. Here's a suggestion, if people don't like Jetstars conditions well don't use them again. Simple as that.
