We have booked an apartment at the Jayakarta for the end of March. We are a family of 2 adults a 9 & 6 year olds. I have read alot of reviews saying that many people werent happy with the apartments and would rather stay in 2 interconnecting superior rooms. People have said the benefits of the apartments are that they are close to the front of the hotel and easy to duck out and get supplies and also easy to drop shopping back to. But the down side is there seems to be conflicting views as to how far they are from the pool, I have read a 5 min walk also another said 2 mins and another said 150m. Obviously the benefit of the superior room is closeness to the pool but have read the down side is the noise from both the pool and the ocean. As we are going for 2 weeks the price difference through our travel agent was about and extra $500 to go to 2 interconnecting rooms. We are very average aussies and relatively easy to please but dont want to make a mistake with our accommodation as it can either make or break a holiday, I would really appreciate if anyone has some views on my concerns. Also I have read that if you are not happy with your room when you get there they will let you move???? Is it cheaper to worry about it over there or organise it before we go???
