Good call... I guess with beach bars - if you move too much around them - you get hit time and time again by hawkers (or sales people making a living). I've been going to Legian Beach for a while now and get pretty much left alone which is good.
Disappointingly the boss at Legian Beach (or the guy with the contract) is an arsehole and charges 315,000rp every 3 months for their licence. So sales people can be more aggressive than Kuta beach or Seminyak, who are charged a fraction.
Anyway - the beer is cold whereever you buy it. And the people are friendly :)
