Next trip to Bali i am thinking of having 2 nights in Kuta then heading around the island for a couple of weeks. What i am worried about is i know transport will be easy to get from say kuta to ubud etc but if i wanted to go onto out of the way places how do you get transport. Last time i went to tianyar there were no taxis but i was with a balinese friend and we caught the local bemo taxi type things. I dont wanna set myself dates on when i have to leave certain places and pre arrange with a driver i just wana take it day by day how long i want to stay in a certain area. How do you think i would go about getting transport in the more remote areas? I dont mind taking the bemo type transport but how do you know where they go past to pick u up and at what times they pass? Any help or recommendations would be great. Thanks. Also has anyone hires a car/bike to go around the more remote parts of bali? How did you find it? Was it difficult to drive out the of tourist places?
