using EFTPOS cards at ATM's

my son and his mates are travelling to Bali on November 25th, and I was wondering if the ATM's accept all cards, EFTPOS and Credit.

I would prefer he not take a lot of cash but to use his card, and as he does not have a credit card, I was hoping that his normal bank EFTPOS card would work.
