take cash in large notes, (50 and 100)and divide up each days amount..that way he won't go over his limit and run out (just change the days budgeted amount ie $150 daily) and leave the rest in the safety deposit box.That also means if he loses money for whatever reason it is only that days amount.
I would also take key card and as tante says make sure it has the logo and at best make sure it's not a state bank (only national) as most state banks cards are not accepted.
