We are returning to Bali in July 2007 (23rd time) with husband and 2 kids aged 13 and 7. Thoroughly recommend Melast Beach Resort old suite rooms near beach, they are huge. Have stayed at GVC and Puri Raja but have found when travelling with the family, Melasti suits better than the others. If the rooms don't have DVD recorders already, you can hire them from DVD shop across the road, there is also a small supermarket across the road where you can get drinks and munchies for the kids and cold bintang for adults time. Pool chairs fill up quickly but my rule is that if they are unoccupied for a half an hour I put their towels on the ground and take the chairs. Tatoos and manicures around the pool. They even put a lolly and sweet dream wishes on your pillows when they turn down your beds at night. Garden View is only a short walk down the road and is recommended for the Sunday night Aussie baked dinner.
