2 years ago, except these were a couple of Aussie women and their teenage kids.
The hotel was relatively busy at the beginning of the holiday and everyone was just acclimatising to being in Bali by hanging around the pool.
Except for a couple of days there were always the same towels on lounges that were claimed by these women and their kids when they'd decide to return to the pool area.
On one really hot day, the same thing again. Other people were sitting 2 or 3 to a lounge and some had gone to get extra lounge mats to put on the hot surrounds of the pool, all because there were 4 lounges unused but with towels on them.
When the owners returned, I had a word with them about how unfair it was that people should resort to more than one on a sun lounge or having to lie on a mat on the hot ground and the response was "life isn't fair" !?!
The solution ? They dragged the sun lounges away from the pool area to the grass area outside their rooms (which were the closest to the pool that you can get) and from that day on you'd see the comical tag situation of the mums going out and leaving the kids on the lounges and when they'd return the kids went off and the mums would use the lounges !
