other than to nip back to the hotel room to go to the toilet or grab something, then I think you should remove your towel and gear (especially if all the lounges are full)
I found in our last trip last month that there were no problems getting a lounge as bali is so quite. But I been before, when as a hotel guest you cant get a pool lounge even though no bugga is sitting on them. Maybe they have all gone for lunch too.... but that isnt fair for the person who wants to have a quick swim and laze in that half hour you have dissappeared and misses out!! Its different if there are plenty spare, but if its busy you should not expect to be able to reserve lounges when you are not using them.
