I tried to get some more info but today found this great news for Bali... well done..
Kuta, Bali (ANTARA News) - Bali police are ready to give protection around the clock to domestic and foreign tourists visiting Bali, Bali police chief Inspector General Sunarko said here Tuesday.
"We are ready 24 hours a day and can be contacted for protection and help for any tourist," Sunarko told 25 journalists from Malaysian and European mass media in a meeting held in the popular resort island.
He said Bali police can be contacted at 0361224111.
By dialing the phone number the police would immediately arrive at the location or tourism destination where tourists need police help, he said.
The Bali police had already prepared some vehicles and motorcycles which can be used to guard tourists, he said.
He said some tourists had complained about frequent crimes like pickpocketing, snatching, and robbery in Bali.
Sunarko said his office had already stepped up patrols and readied policemen in crime-prone areas.
He said his men have also anticipated possible bomb threats by improving their capability to detect the threat.
"Intelligence agents have been deployed in great number in many areas to detect any terror," he said.
Meanwhile Bali administration's information division head Nyoman Wardawan said tourists notably foreign travellers visiting Bali should not worry about security in Bali.
The 25 foreign journalists are visiting Bali for a week to get first hand information on the security in Bali following the second Bali bomb last year.
The first bombing occurred in 2002, killing hundreds of people mostly Australian tourists. (*)
