have been to both Bali and Thailand many times over the years and have to say Thailand is in the running for my very fav place in the world. Love it more every time we go.
Bkk - exciting - incredible food and shopping
Ko Samet - OMG it's devine - very Thai :)Have to go back there
Pattaya - interesting - had to see if it was really that BAD LOL!!! - yep once is enough !!!!
Ao Nang - gorgeous beaches - very laid back
Ko Samui - best beaches and very beautiful - probably the closest thing to Bali in Thailand
Hua Hin - more a Thai hangout than tourist - more traditional feel to it
Phuket - well probably the only place we wont bother going back to. Patong the worst - kata and Karon are better. great resorts and food but a bit yukky in lots of ways :(
We love Bali but I think Thailand is great for a change of scenery. Can't agree that the thais are just out to get you - we have always found them to be very friendly and polite - just more reserved :)
Must admit we always use Bali as our yardstick when comparing places. Have often said "yep it's great but not as good as Bali" about other places -sure you all do the same :)
Make the most of this tread because unfortunately it will be zapped bu the FA pretty soon. Remember this is a Bali only site :)
