locked bags?

Sorry, guys... I don't want to bring up the whole SC thing again, but as a newbie to Bali, (I was there 8 years ago, but that's so long ago, it hardly counts!) I was wondering...
Do most people going over padlock their cases, get them wrapped, or just hope for the best? We are going over later in the year, and with all that's gone on, my wife is a little paranoid...
