Having traveled to Bali just returned last week. and other countrys I have always padlocked all my luggage. At first it took me 4 months to find a case that all compartments could be locked (many document areas couldnt be locked), now they are easier to come by. Also remember never leave any of your luggage out of sight or even with friends that you dont quite know well (friends of friends) if you go to the toilet take it with you and be aware of any openend luggage eg handbags, duty free bags where things may be slipped in and never even if it is a little old lady look after their belongings if they ask you to while they go to loo etc Dont panic and have a great time
