I have been visiting the Island of the Gods since the early 80's and yes prices have gone up for certain types of accommodation and places to eat. On the other side of the coin however I have been in Bali when the exchange rate was approximately 3500 bat to the Aussie $.
Looking at the exchange rate today, 9800 to 1 Aus .
More expensive. I don't think so!!!!
Back in Bali again in 4 weeks. Can't wait.
