Flying is quick , sometimes the delays at the airport are longer than the 15 min flight . But it is a half hour drive to Kuta very different from Kuta Bali. Some nice beaches to visit, cheap yummy food and the people are friendly. You can organise day trips to Sengiggi and to the Gilis although I would probably stay a couple of nights in Kuta, then a couple of nights in Sengiggi then a 10 min speed boat ride over to Gili Trawangan, and stay a few nights, great snorkelling....then you get a transfer back direct to the airport. . I am a bit biased and love The Gili T island 😎
