I had my 60th birthday on Gili T with 10 family members...14 yrs - 61yrs...we all had a great time, I have not been to Gili Air, but Trawangan is great fun, we cycled around the island ... and stopped at a few little bars, and a couple of them were fabulous, later in the afternoon some of the sunset bars have music and fire twirlers etc etc....great fun, snorkelling is great and you can go to the other islands for a stop off lunch, food at the night markets is cheap and yummy...more expensive places with wonderful food. We stayed a little out of the the main drag in The Trawangan, bit pricey but for all of us the four bedroom villa and a two bedroom villa was perfect, step across the road for brekky and beach, couldn't fault the service or the staff :)
