alcohol mini mart ban

just read on news.com as of today ban on alcohol in mini marts. Is this correct now? And I hope the full ban doesn't come into affect because it may be good for bogans to stay away, but the couples who like to share each others company on the balcony will have to search elsewhere. And it may mean a big loss of tourists.
