Set up a fee free Citibank cheque a/c - apply for a debit card, attached to this a/c. Transfer cash across into your Citibank cheque a/c before you go on a holiday anywhere in the world.
The Citibank card will work in ATMs everywhere. No foreign exchange fees, and usually a good rate. Of course there may be the usual small flat rate ATM fee - tho' often there will be a Citibank ATM - or one belonging to one of its partner banks.
Empty out the surplus when you get back (no fees when using a Westpac ATM). Repeat as often as you like (or can afford).
