Geoffrey Thomas a well re-nouned aviation writer has quoted those figures after the AA crash. Since then another ran off the runway at Lombok just a couple of weeks ago. This list does not even include the Qantas one that ran off the runway in Bangkok.
Look at this site. It does not include non fatal accidents. It also does not include those where the planes crashed at the end of the airstrip. (they did not get to a certain altitude) Remember I said Crashes not fatals. It does not mention Lion Air which failed to land at Denpasar.
Figures are fudged by the airlines to bump up their safety record and as you mentioned the March 2007 crash. Isn't the cause of that crash because Garuda put minimum fuel in. so the aircraft could not do a second lap. SAFETY ?????
