that you are that gullible you do not realise that you are being charged x% service charge included in your bill no matter whether you book direct or through an agent so all you are actually doing is directly feeding certain staff members with extra income which is frowned upon by most hotels because of lack of sharing between all staff I,E. you have a great meal so you slip the waiter/waitress a few 1000 rupiahs but the REAL reason you have done so is because of the skills of the chef/cook who then doesn't get any benefit from his skills but the "labourer" who delivered it to you got a bonus?
