My husband unzipped his surf board bag when we arrived to discover both brand new custom made Simon Anderson boards were completely snapped at the tail. Unrepairable as my husband is a fibreglasser so in the know. He was totally devastated . He was only going to bring one board but thought no I'll take both incase one snaps in the surf not even contemplating damage on the plane as has never had a dent before. . Someone must have jumped on them or closed the cargo door on them for this to happen. Luckily we have travel insurance as these boards were not cheap. He has purchased a Monkey surfbiard and so far he is kind of happy with it . Anyhow at a place called Cucukan just up past Keramas and it is lovely, surf is good and by the sounds of it the weather a lot better than the on the Bukit or western side.
