I agree with the suggestion below that Bamboo Shoots in Sanur is a great experience. Did that class last October and they picked us up and dropped us back to Legian for a nominal extra charge.
I've also done the Anika class in Kuta which had a tour of the morning market in Kuta and also included pick up and drop off.
I'd easily do either of them again. It was great to have done both as the two markets (Kuta and Sanur) are very different to each other. Kuta is old and very compact. The Sanur market is very new and roomy.
Also, the Sanur class size was smaller and you ate each dish as you went. The Anika one had many more people, so while it was hands on, you did a lot less of each dish, and we prepared all of them and then sat down to eat them all cold at the end of the class.
