First day. Took an Emu egg to the village, yeah I know, you what ? You read it right, took an Emu egg to a family in the village. It beats me where the time goes to, what seems loke a couple of visits ago one of the staff at Novotel was asking questions about Emu's, wanted to know if we could get him an Emu egg, no problems, my her indoors got one and we took it over for him, what he did was he found a local artist that painted his new babies face on the egg, the picture is a brilliant likeness, almost looks like a colour photo. When I say where does the time go that baby starts school this month.
Another baby has arrived and he asked for another egg for another painting. Many in the village and the staff at the hotel take some convincing that it is in fact a real egg so you gotta give a demo of the size and walk which gets them in stitches or in other words they laugh their you know whats off. So we handed over the egg, had a copi bali with cake and went off to Hardy's Emporium to get some shopping out of the way.
Stocked up on toothbrushes, third of the price there with bigger brush heads, razors, again much cheaper than here, four bags of Excelso Arabica roasted coffee beans, fresh milk, biscuits and things nice. Herself went upstairs for a pair of shoes, she wanted a 39 size, couldn't find a pair to fit anywhere in Hardy's. Here's a clue, if you bring roasted coffee beans back always mark them on your form as FOOD and tick the YES. What happens is that when you are standing waiting to come through Quarantine they invariably walk through the queue and pick out those with YES for FOOD and send you straight to the counter which gets you out quicker.
Lazed the rest of the day away around the pool, ate across the road at another good eatery that evening and yes, we watched the footy !
Do Saturday and Sunday next JBR, hang in there Bec, Amlapura next on the Sunday, Im not sure I will get away with restaurant names as the admin sometimes deletes them as adverts, you will get them though plus a couple of pics of delightful children.
Thats it, my hands are cold and I've got a headache from JBR stress.
