Not so familiar with the area, so need some advice...
We will be staying at Hard Rock, and will be walking or getting taxis. etc.(family of 5, 3 kids aged 12,12 and 16).
Wondering how long it will take us to walk from Hard Rock to:
Waterbom,
Garlic Lane (have read a bit about Garlic lane, and curious... what is good there? Restaurants? Shopping? Other things?)
Discovery shopping centre,
Matahari (is that just around the corner?)
Also, best places to shop, eat, etc around Hard Rock area.
One more thing...
As a family, we have stayed 6 years ago at Dynasty (loved it) and now we will be at Hard Rock. Do any of you have suggestions about a different place to stay NEXT TIME (planning ahead!) which would still suit our family, but may be a little less western and commercialised?
We would probably need 3 bedrooms. Any favourite places? We don't need 5 star, but somewhere nice with a good pool would be great. Thinking we may be able to check out some other places this time, in preparation for next time, if you know what I mean. Maybe even considering a villa...
