This can happen anywhere, it has happened to two girlfriends in Bali at different times and to me in Perth luckily I was with my partner and it happened when I had a sip of a second drink so obviously not a too much alcohol thing.
Really that old addage to be aware of our surroundings and much as it pains me to say (& I am 48) listen to yor mums advise that say dont put your drink down anywhere LOL I used to tell this to my kids as well and get the same reaction I think I used to give my Mum... BUT the reality is you do need to be careful and always watch out for friends. Thanks for the reminder.
