Teachers have to have a Commonwealth Police check and you normally know the teacher and other parents/students in the school.
We had a bad experience in Fiji, we left the boys at the creche in the hotel. Came back to collect them and no one knew where they were. They had wandered off and thankfully some one found them on the beach and return them to hotel reception.
