Ask the man for his name and identification.
Ask to speak to his supervisor.
If his supervisor comes and says the same, ask for his name and identification. Then ask for the name of the Airport manager and the name of the Director of Security.
If they still insist (not likely), do what they say and report it later.
By the way, security should be asking you to do the opposite, remove locks, not install locks.
