G'day from Rangatan..
This was my 2nd trip to Bali... First time I was only there for a week. Stayed at the Lokha and wasnt that an experience... every morning I woke to kids running up and down the hallway....
And the pool... I was watching people at the swim up bar sitting there all day drinking and not leaving, I can only imagin doing there business in the pool... Yuck!! Turned me off straight away..
Well Ive just returned from my 2nd trip and that was fantastic! I would highly recommed getting yourself a villa....
We first arrived and organise a visa on arrival... I got a hot tip from a friend of mine. This was the best. When we arrived in the arrivals hall it was chockers.. People everywhere. Visa on arrival saved us from spending hours lining up. We were through in 25mins.
From there we headed to the Hard Rock Hotel from 2 nights.. Great venue... However the highlight of the trip was heading to the Gill's. Stayed at Marta's... The crew there are amazing.. Nothing was a drama. Had these 2 story huts. Neat, tidy and clean. Linen changed each day, breakfast (more than filling) and hot showers. Ate at the Scallawags Resort pretty much every night. Nothing better than the BBQ'd Balmain Bugs..
After the Gilli's headed back to a villa called Villa Rahasia... in Legian... AWESOME!!
Nothing was a problem there. The villa was in a supurb location, close to the beach for sunset drinks, close to great shops, and to the night life of Bali. It was clean, had a great pool to have a dip, airconditioned, kitchen, living area and upstairs bedrooms. It was quiet way from the hussle and bussel of Bali's main strip. I have already booked my next trip to the villa..
I can highly recommed a few restaurants to eat at. Ultomos, Queen Tandoor, Manikapis, Mozrarella, Warong Asia and Lanais.. Just to name a few.
