I and probably 20 relatives/mates have been going to Bali 1 or 2 times a yearfor twenty years. Each brings back up to a million rupes ( $100+ ) in high denominations 50,000/100,000.
Now, when I,m going back and I don't have enough "Fred let me have some"
When I get back "Fred here's your money" ( In rupes).
Why go thru the hassle at the airport. A row of money changers all wanting your biz ( pity the lass on the end )
I read the article. Dean Alston, the West's political cartoonist was the writer, and it did sound like a first timer going there.
We've got 6000/7000 people from WA going to Bali each week, I'm sure we're not all "newbies"
