in the travel lift out on Bali.
About three pages, but not much new.
However, towards the end it advises not to change any money at the airport changers as the rates are terrible.
One wonders if these people actually do the travel or just read Lonely Planet.
The rates at the airport are a few points off genuine street rates, but not by any means terrible.
I would describe as terrible the rates one gets from Australian travel agents and others in Australia prior to leaving.
Then again, as these people are key advertisers in the media it is probably not a bad idea for the papers to get people to change money before leaving, just to look after their clients.
For those who are not aware, the generally advised plan is to change a small amount (say $50 or $100) at the airport changers just to get you a taxi and a bit of breathing space before sourcing a reliable street changer.
