not sure about the dangerous aussies, every silly maneuvre I've seen performed was by a local, yesterday a truck decided he wanted to be in the same place on the road as me and my young son on our scooter I was lucky to stay on the road and also lucky to only get a badly bruised and cut elbow where the truck hit us. I shook my head at them and they slowed down to say they used horn but this was a millisecond before they hit us.
Today I saw a local on a scooter come out of the Melasti and narrowly avoid a collision with a taxi only to hit the gutter and come a cropper, the only ones to stop and help were ourselves and a few other aussies.
Don't get me wrong I love bali and most of the balinese but think that the tourists actually drive more carefully then the locals.
