We live in a democratic country where the right to differing opinions is not
only supported, but also encouraged. For this reason, I thank you all for your
responses, both the supportive and the unsupportive. Upon reading and consideration of the responses, there appears to be a degree of polarity ranging from encouraging to vitriolic and those providing the information as requested,
to those who offer stern judgement.
First I would like to let everyone know how proud I am of my daughter. She is an inspiration to me and my family. I love her with all of my heart, and stand by and full support any decision which she makes in regards to her own health and the well being of my future grandchild. My daughters decision to travel while pregnant, is based upon informed research from a wide variety of sources,
experience and medical advice. I did not bring my child up to fear the world, I brought her up to revel in the experiences, and so I hope that she will teach her own children this lesson.
Of all our group who are travelling together, we have a combined 10 trips to Bali, and so feel that we have some understanding of the country, culture and resourses available. We admire and appreciate the Balinese approach to the care of children and the importance of the family unit......regards, Sue Butler (Nanny)
