research I think its importsnt to keep in mind that Bali has the highest maternal mortality rate (between 350 and 450 per 100,000 live births) in SE Asia and an infant mortality rate of 28.94 deaths per 1,000 live births. This has nothing to do with <the Balinese approach to the care of children and the importance of the family unit> but everything to do with Indonesia as an under-resourced, developing country.
