I personally saw the lion handler sitting in his car around the back of the enclosure. When the lions attempted to walk away from the lit area (at the restaurant windows), they were herded back by the handler in his car so they were in full view. You can see him in the car when you go on the night tour - he waves :)
Also, I and my children were upset by the solo lion in the fully cemented enclosure what is overlooked by the toilets and bar. We were told that lion is a young male and must be separated from the other male (which makes sense) however his enclosure looked awful, the lion did nothing but pace and roar and it looks far worse than where the other lions live.
Apart from the lion thing - we and the children had a great time at the park (and stayed overnight) and enjoyed the experience.
