I say to all of you who are offended by children running around planes, restaurants, airports or wherever you are on holidays. Challenge the parents and explain that their children's behaviour is offensive. Some people do not get the message unless it is laid out plain and clear. Don't sit back and tut tut and winge to your partner, making them and yourself irritated for the whole meal or whatever. If it is nipped in the bud in an assertive not aggressive manner you may get to enjoy the rest of your time in peace. And Dudley I know children have as much right to be there as I do and because they are children and are not supposed to be responsible then it is their parent's responsibility to ensure they do not make other people miserable who have paid for a relaxing holiday and may have very well left their own children at home.I do not impinge on other people in anyway except that you may not like the way I look but hey , that is your problem , not mine. I RESPECT other people.
Other hints on enjoying your holiday in Bali are: be careful and aware of where your children are and don't let them be tooo familiar with people you have just met. At home we are forever teaching our children stranger danger and then let our guard down when on holiday. I know the Balinese are generally a wonderful race of people, but there are always exceptions and not all people in Bali are Balinese. You can never be too careful. A good stroller for the little ones is a must as the roads are exceptionally busy and dangerous.Even though the traffic is going fairly slowly a small child is no match for a vehicle or motor bike. Keep the child in the stroller, it is not a shopping cart. The majority of people have a wonderful time in Bali with children as I have done over the years with mine BUT, there seems to be a trend towards letting children run amok.
