Wedding venue - any recommendations?

Hi Everyone

I am looking at getting married in Bali in July 2011.

I have no idea where to start!

We will have between 40-60 guest and am hoping to only spend about 6 thousand all up on the ceremony and reception.

I would prefer not to use a wedding planner if I can help it.

The legal side of it looks hard as well...

Does anyone have any recommendations/personal experiences that you would be willing to share?

I can't decide between ubud or near the beach - would love if I could combine the two with a nice infinity pool on a cliff in ubud!
