Not sure how they calculate the conversion. I give 'em a 50 & get change in Rupia. It's not a spectacular exchange rate but reasonable. There is a line of money changing booths after customs, RHS in the exit passage (they make sure you wont miss them) & I would suggest you change $100.00 there. If you are getting picked up by hotel transport then you could wait until after check-in then off to the nearest Kodak shop. I would still change the bulk at BMC. VOA is cash only unless they've changed things in the last fortnight. Be very careful using ATMs. Apart from the obvious scams, there can be traps regarding unreasonable withdrawal limits where you have to make multiple withdrawals resulting in multiple transaction fees. I got whacked one trip with over $90.00 in fees after one trip a few years ago. Never used an ATM since....Russ
