the last time we were there (having visited on two previous trips) we were ignored and the loud "retired looking folk" practically took over the place and we had terrible service and had to wait ages for our lunches. The food was nice but the atmosphere with overly familar, loud and quite rude customers was off-putting. The Kiwi lady you refer to, seems very nice but a bit overwhelmed?
