There have been quite a few rise of deaths in the past few years.
In particular during high season time.
Some have even died with their helmet on.
Including an Australian.
A Canadian? So severely hurt after being bumped off her motorbike by ah a car and then being run over by a motorbike, that she had to be flown all the way to Canada in a helicopter.
With holes in the streets, illogical drivers, people who don't look when pulling out of a drive way, narrow streets full of bigger and bigger cars growing in numbers, disrespect for road rules, heavy traffic of which people are starting to get aggravated with which then turns into aggression, etc etc...driving in Bali is getting more dangerous by the day.
If you care to fully understand the consequences of riding a motorbike in Bali, just take a visit at the physiotherapy department in Shanglah.
Or maybe if you go through the experience yourself...then maybe, just maybe, you will learn.
