we ourselves have used the credit card but to an absolute minimum and are paranoid about using an ATM plus keeping it in full view at all times if paying by card ourselves.
One very incident which horrified me was at Geneva where the staff took this womans card on the 2nd floor where they have no eftpos and she quite happily let them take it to the 1st floor and 10 mins later returned with the card, (a lot of things can happen in 10 mins) I could not believe it.
