hair AND makeup at your hotel or villa? if it's ONLY hair and you have to go to the salon, then yes that is expensive.
Some companies ask for a deposit to confirm the booking, I've never heard of full payment up front.
I work as a hairstylist and makeup artist and don't request a deposit unless more weddings have been requested for that day.
